... mom (2- legged and 4-legged kind), corporate professional, and lifelong athlete. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance work, family, and self-care. The guilt that comes with prioritizing yourself is real — but I’ve also learned that taking care of your health isn’t selfish; it’s essential.
I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember. I started playing soccer at seven and instantly fell in love with competition. What I lacked in skill, I made up for with grit and determination. But like many young girls, I struggled with body image and eating disorders.
At sixteen, my world was turned upside down. I shattered my leg in a soccer game, and just a month after being cleared to play again, I suffered a ruptured disc in my lower back. I woke up unable to feel my legs and was told I’d never play soccer again. That loss sent me into a deep depression, and over time, I gained fifty pounds.
After years of trying different workouts — running, spin, boot camps — I finally discovered strength training. I’ll admit, I was once afraid of lifting weights because I believed the myth that it would make women bulky. But I quickly learned the truth: lifting makes you strong, confident, and empowered.
Over the last decade, I’ve immersed myself in strength training and nutrition, earning my personal training certification and helping other women and young female athletes transform their lives.
Fitness has changed me far beyond the physical. It’s given me confidence, discipline, and mental toughness — and it’s my mission to help women in all seasons of life rise to become their best selves.
